Corruption

The JUA money grab is back in the news.  A group is blasting Kelly Ayotte and John Lynch for trying to balance the budget with 110 million from a fund created by the state but filled with money from the pockets of doctors who were forced by law to contribute to it.  The thinking goes that because the state forced them to pay in, the state has rights to the money because it (the state) created the underwriting fund.

 The Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (CFRR?) has been appointed by President Obama to deal with the deficit.  And in keeping with his commitment to partisanship it’s members are all pro-stimulus, big spending supporters of Dear Leader. 

Terri Norelli isn't all that interested in ethics.  In the past few months several potentially high profile cases have gone softly into that good night with as little pomp as possible. 

One of the joys of blogging is the anonymous commenters who drop the bottle of Booth's Dry Gin long enough to type something lucid. (Lucid is a stretch)   Most of these word-smiths are probably NHDP staffers who can't find anything better to do while they watch the party lose special election after special election on the road to being sent packing in November.

There's this liberal talking point, it's spin actually, that anyone who does not disown Jim Bunning is an obstructionist.  It is founded on the premise that the Senator was against extending unemployment benefits.  The meme therefore goes; if you do not scold Jim Bunning you hate people who are unemployed and should burn in hell.

So we’re down to this.  Do you dare vote for the trash barrel bill that is pretending to be health Care reform?  Can you countenance your constitutional obligation to defend your constituents from the government by voting for something that Speaker Pelosi declares we cannot begin to know the details of until after the vote is already cast? 

Being a liberal means never having to do better than whomever you can find that can be shown to be as bad or worse than whatever it is you are being accused of.  This, courtesy of Mike Brunelle, NHDP XO, as reported in this morning’s Union Leader, where Comrade Brunelle dismisses a request by the GOP to investigate Rep Dan Eaton (D-Spend first Tax later) as hypocrisy that knows no bounds. 

Remember last October when Paul Hodes tucked tail and ran to avoid an ethics vote that would implicate his democrat committee chariman (here)?  Well that Chairman, Edolphus Towns, has just been implicated in a missrepresentation of details that made Toyota look worse than was actually the case.
