We park our RV at Fred Meyer; this is the first time since the walk started that we’ve parked it in a location other than an RV campground.  We walk along a divided highway for the first time as well, but soon take a side detour.

We do a short day hike over a railroad trestle.  We also see more Oregon scenery, including some interesting barn art.  We conclude the day with our first campfire.

We do a day hike with John and encounter salamanders and slugs, while John commits civil disobedience.  On our regularly scheduled walk, I call in to Free Talk Live.  We have a not-so-close encounter with a llama.  Brooke convinces me to try a detour and we get separated from the highway.  Also, Brooke’s toe has [...]

We do a short hike and see more beautiful Oregon mountain scenery.  I also ask the question: why we need government to manage animals and wildlife, when people can take it upon themselves to manage them on their own property?

It’s a misty morning at our new campsite, but we head into town to pick up an internet connection.  We then go for our longest walk yet, and both Brooke and I take precautions against future blisters.

We finally move from our original campsite at Cannon Beach, OR.  We also do a short walk in some snowy weather.

We encounter even more cold, wet weather, and trek up a long mountain pass.  And we actually get to use a rest area instead of the bushes.

The weather gets even colder, and tensions run high as we pass some parts of the road with small shoulders.  Also, we happen upon a strange outdoor sculpture store.
