Hodespocrisy-- It's Mr. Crowley

Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) is under investigation by the Congressional Office of Ethics regarding fundraisers with lobbyists before critical votes on financial legislation.  Crowley's investigation is focused on his departure from an amendment debate to attend a fundraiser held by Banking lobbyist Julie Domenick, after which he returned to vote against amendments that would toughen certain standards on the financial industry.

John Lynch Gets What's Been Coming

Blogging can be a weird hobby.  You never know when something you've planted will grow and bear fruit.  But back on May 28th of 2010 I planted this seed. It was about Mr. Lynch going to the Political OutGiving conference.

Get it Off Me Man!

I think I'll Name it PaulThere is ample evidence that Paul Hodes toes the line, is a Kool Aid drinker, and a reliable party hack.  Each effort to sell himself as having fiscal integrity or ethics is met with an abundance of contradictory evidence.   So to suggest that he is an independent thinker lacks veracity unless you mean independent from reality.  To further demonstrate this break Hodes spokesman Bergman (not Ingrid but Mark) defended his paymaster from a recent attack on his record.

Look For The Union Label

Look For The Union LabelUnions are historically more corrupt than the business community.  Yet when a corporation donates money in a manner some left wing fringe group finds unacceptable, we are treated to flash mobs and media hype.

Hodespocrisy-The Tale Of Dirty Dick

Dick Durbin, or Dirty Dick as we like to call him around the shop, is a prominent Senator from Illinois and another $10,000.00 donor to Paul Hodes.  Durbin has all the standard conflicts with the "New and Improved Hodes--With extra Hypocritical Action!, and coming in at 685 million in earmark requests since fiscal year 2008 (117 million in 2010), dirty Dick should fit nicely into Paul's stated mission to end earmark abuse in congress.

The Halloran - Horrigan Round Up

This all happened rather quickly, but throughout the process I wrote a seriss of posts over at Granite Grok about it as it unfolded and rather than repost them all after the fact, (I should have jsut posted them in both placed to begin with) I've provided the links, in order.

Hodespocrisy--The Menendez Chronicles

Being as concerned as they are about ethics and corruption (over at the offices of the New Hampshire Democrat Party) you’d think Paul 'Jersey' Hodes would have refused that $10,000.00 campaign contribution from Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ).  Menendez is a long time benefactor of corrupt SEC violator Goldman Sachs (see below) and being from Jersey's most corrupt Hudson county Menendez has been linked to any number of ethical "misunderstandings" throu

You Want Us To Take This Seriously?

Yeah? When pigs fly!Cynicism is the proper lens through which all political activity should be viewed--particularly by incumbents---so pardon my skepticism but this latest legislative effort by Paul Hodes strikes me as a bit hollow.

CONCORD — Members of Congress and federal regulators would be barred from working as lobbyists for a minimum of two years under a bill that U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes said yesterday he is sponsoring.

Where Do We Draw The Line?

No, It's not marraige. All you folks (regardless of your sexual disorientation) who’ve gone and gotten yourselves hitched by a JP or someone else who performs a legitimate civil union just got hosed by one federal judge in Northern California.  According to him, you’re not married.  That’s right, civil unions are not marriages. (That is to say, they are not contractually equivalent.)

Hodespocrisy--"It's Not A Schoomah"

It's Not A Toomah! In keeping with the holier than thou New Hampshire Democrat Party “rules” committee’s abhorrence of money from 'corrupt' sources, we bring you Chuck Schumer, New York Senator, Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, and committee member on Banking, Finance, and judiciary.  He has also stained Paul Hodes already questionable reputation with dirty money--$10,000.00 dollars worth of it.

Hodespocrisy--The Max Baucus Edition

Money money money money...Max Baucus, Democrat Senator from Montana, is the chairman of the Senate Finance committee and his Glacier PAC has donated $10,000.00 dollars to Paul Hodes for Senate.  Baucus may be best known for his influence on Health Care reform or Climate change legislation.  But what he should be known for is his relationship with lawyer/staffer Melo

Hodes Monkeys With The First Amendment

Right to What?Reading Paul Hodes blog at the daily KoS is the literary-equivalent of watching monkeys throw poo.

Does 'Hodes' Mean Stupid In Some Other Language?

Duh.

Paul Hodes is singing to his choir again. This time he’s over at HuffPo wielding the party rhetoric like a drunk man with a fireplace poker.  It's nice to see him so comfortable in his own ignorance.  You really get the feeling he believes it.
