On July 4 I woke up in Pennsylvania, in a mansion which had served as a station on the Underground Railroad, that network of people and places which helped slaves escape their bondage before and during the Civil War. And I thought that, with the replacement of yesterday's chattel slavery with today's universal bondage, it may be time for a new Underground Railroad.

In an effort to curtail those nasty illegal aliens, the Federal Government now is trying to introduce and pass legislation that would give them, the State, oversight on hiring of employees across the nations 7.4 million employers.

Hmm, that's odd. My copy of the Constitution doesn't provide them with this power, interesting.

So, if this bill were to become law I can see the new bureaucracy now. The "Ministry of Labor" (who knows who will provide oversight of their hiring process) would have your number, know when you work, who you work for, how long you worked for them, etc. And if you "accidentally" get put on the "no hire list"...you can kiss your job, future jobs and any unconstitutional social program from helping you out.
