Is 10% The New "Normal?"

Maybe AP called it right.

Putting The 'Ho' In Hodes

Mo Baxley made a sound bite stab last week at connecting every Republican in the state and chastising anyone who didn't stand up to her expectations of them.   I wonder if she feels the same way about liberal progressives?

Take the SEIU for example.  They are all about Obama's vision for America because it's actually their vision.  They spent at least 65 million to get him elected, and are still dumping millions into his agenda.  They expect something in return.

Pubic Unions Are Screwing You Twice (At Least)

Maybe you have not thought too much about it but public sector unions are funded on the backs of taxpayers and those unions use your money to elect tax and spenders who grow government and expand union payrolls to defend their incumbancy.

It's a simple process.  You work and the government taxes you.  Those taxes go to pay for public services and the salaries of public employees.  The public employees pay their taxes or fees to the state and federal government from your tax dollars.  If they are in a union their union dues come out of the same paycheck--which if you recall is your money.  Government cannot pay anyone until they first take your earnings from you.

They Eat Their Young

Now that’s what I like to see.  The commitment to public service shining through.  It’s not about the money or the benefits, it’s about serving the people.  And if refusing to compromise in any way on their portion of a deficit riddled budget (created by the same democrats they have long supported and elected) costs the jobs of 750 state union employees then so be it.

Myth that AP is still a joke, a reality

The Concord Monitor has an AP article up titled "Report released on retaining NH's young workers." The lede is, well, misleading.

"The idea that young people are fleeing New Hampshire in droves is more myth than reality, according to a task force that nonetheless recommends the state do more to build up its young work force."

Workers Beware

The lite version of the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA or Card Check) still includes the 120 day collective bargaining provision, a federal power which will destroy worker rights, and the government and the unions know it.

Labor of....well, it's not love

Jobs numbers are tricky things.  As is traditional, the week leading up to the latest employment numbers was peppered with reports from various unreliable sources about how things appeared to be flattening our, or how the precipitous decline was not as precipitous as before; in conclusion, things should be turning around any day now.

Any day now.  Any day....Tricky tings those job numbers

Ford--Where the Free Market is Job #1

The anti-free-market folks have some explaining to do.  Ford Motor company, the only one of the Pathetic Three not in hock to the government, is also the only American car maker actually selling cars and making money.  It's stock has tripled in the past two months, (still a huge value at $6/share), it has bumped Toyota out of the number two spot for US auto sales, and the Washington Times reports that it is preparing to issue a 2 billion dollar stock offering.
