NH Senate Committee Says "NO" To Federal REAL-ID

The New Hampshire State Sentate Committee on Public and Municipal Affairs voted this morning on HB 1582, the bill which would opt New Hampshire out of the Federal REAL-ID program.

The meeting room was packed -- standing room only -- with onlookers, most of whom were wearing "No Real-ID" badges. It's clear which way the public leans on this issue.

It was all over within 5 minutes.
The motion "Ought To Pass" was agreed upon unanimously by all present members of the Senate Committee (one Senator arrived late and missed the vote). Even the Senate Republicans, who are getting massive pressure from Washington to kill this bill, voted for Freedom.

The bill now goes to the full New Hampshire Senate for a final up-or-down vote. That will likely happen sometime next week.
